I don’t believe in quick fixes.

I believe in systems that work and keep working.

When I launched the Nevada Youth Empowerment Project (NYEP) in 2007, my goal wasn’t just to house young women. I wanted to build a replicable model for lasting independence. One that didn’t just offer shelter, but structure. Not just resources, but results.

Because stability doesn’t come from a bed.

It comes from mindset, consistency, and support.

What Happens When You’re 18 and Alone

Imagine you’re 18. No family. No support. No place to sleep tonight.

Where do you go?

Who teaches you how to apply for a job, set a budget, or show up for work?

Most of us had someone guiding us. These young women didn’t. Without that guidance, even the smartest, most capable youth fail to launch.

That’s why I built NYEP, and why I continue to build for others today.

Beyond Housing: A Systems Approach to Youth Development

The traditional response to youth homelessness, emergency shelters, drop-in services, and resource giveaways isn’t enough.

These short-term interventions create dependence, not development.

At NYEP, we’ve proven that with the right system in place, young women can go from surviving to thriving. Our Community Living Program focuses on:

✅ Structure: Building daily routines, reliability, and real-life rhythms.

✅ Accountability: Helping participants show up fully for opportunities.

✅ Expectations: We don’t lower the bar, we help young people rise to it.

What I’ve Learned After 20 Years in the Field

It’s not just about the program, it’s about the people implementing it.

The right mission, funding, or model won’t go far without a staff team that’s trained, resourced, and grounded in real tools. That’s why I don’t just build programs, I train leaders to run them with integrity and impact.

Here’s where I help:

✅ Building effective, structured programs from scratch

✅ Fixing existing efforts to align with outcomes

✅ Designing private funding strategies (I’ve raised millions)

✅ Crafting credible policy pitches for decision-makers

✅ Equipping staff to lead with both compassion and competence

✅ Cutting through red tape to focus on what matters

What I Still Believe

Change doesn’t happen on its own.

I’ve watched young women transform when systems are done right. I’ve coached leaders through burnout and overwhelm into clarity and results.

This isn’t just my profession, it’s my blueprint for transformation.

If you’re ready to build something that actually works, something that changes lives, attracts funding, and holds up under pressure –

I can help.
